Balasore: A man was trampled to death by an elephant at Sohala Bhauni Dam under Fatepur panchayat in Oupada block of Balasore district on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Tapu Banra of Tolagadia under Sharata police limits of Mayurbhanj district. He had visited Kaspa market in Oupada block yesterday for some business purpose.
Banra was returning home when he was attacked by the elephant at Sohala Bhauni Dam. Locals spotted the body and informed forest department officials.
