Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has lifted the embargo on journalists’ entry into the Lok Seva Bhawan. Once again journalists will be able to enter the state secretariat for their professional work.
Entry of the journalists to the Lok Seva Bhawan was restricted since the outbreak of Covid-19. Though the epidemic passed away several years back, the ban was not lifted by the successive governments till now.
The state government has published a notification in this regard on December 26. Under the new rules, both accredited and non-accredited journalists have been granted access to the Lok Seva Bhawan. While no specific date has been mentioned, it is expected to come into effect soon.
As per the new rules, the journalist willing to enter the Lok Seva Bhawan will have to give his Aadhaar card and identity card of the organisation. After that only one journalist and one photographer from one media organisation will be allowed to enter.
