Bhubaneswar: Eminent journalist and Sarvodaya Leader Bhagabat Prasad Nanda breathed his last at his residence in Budharaja area of Sambalpur town. He passed away yesterday after a prolonged illness.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled the death of Nanda and said that he was a great son of the soil with a multitude of talents. CM added that his association with Bhoodan movement in Odisha amply demonstrated his concern for the poor, landless farmers.
“Late Bhagabat Prasad Nanda pursued many professions throughout his life. But all his activities were oriented towards the upliftment of the underprivileged. His demise is a great loss to our State which can hardly be fulfilled in future, “said Naveen.
Odisha CM also expressed his deep sympathies for the family members of Nanda.
