Bhubaneswar: Renowned Odia litterateur Satakadi Hota passed away today at the age of 95.
The former President of Odisha Sahitya Akademi has authored several books. He was also the editor of Odia daily ‘The Samaya’.
He remained in the post of President of Odisha Sahitya Akademi from March 6, 2013 to March 5, 2016. He was also the general council member of the Sahitya Akademi, India.
His literary achievements include poems, novels, short stories and essays. He was awarded the Sahitya Bharati Samman for 2018.
He was also the President of Bhubaneswar Book Fair.
Odisha Governor Raghubar Das and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled the death of the eminent literary figure.
