Puri: The empty almirahs and chests lying in the Ratna Bhandar of the Shree Jagannath Temple will be shifted on August 23 at 2.00 PM after completion of the second Bhogamandap.
Darshan of the deities shall remain out of bounds for the devotees from 1.00 PM till the shifting of the almirahs and chests is completed.
These empty almirahs and containers will be kept in a room near the Niladri Museum, according to a letter issued by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Tuesday to all Nijogs (temple servitor bodies).
A special ritual schedule for the deities has been drawn up to ensure that rituals are not affected due to the shifting process.
However, devotees interested in buying Mahaprasad can purchase the same from Ananda Bazar by entering the temple through Singha Dwar and exit via Uttar Dwar.
Notably, the valuables contained in the Bahar and Bhitar Ratna Bhandar were shifted to a strong room on July 14 and 18 respectively.
