Endangered Pangolin Rescued From Traders In Bolangir, Two Arrested

Bolangir: The Forest Department officials have arrested two persons on charges of trading with a living pangolin here on Saturday.

The raid was carried out in Maharapadar village under Lathor Forest Range in the district.

During the raid, one Sushil Dharua along with Bajrang Dharua or Sargipali were apprehended with the pangolin.

They were planning to sell it to a customer, the Forest officials said.

Sushil is a native of Maharapadar and the pangolin had come from the jungle and entered into his house on Friday night, reports stated.
