Bhubaneswar: In a move to foster a safe and inclusive work environment, the Energy Department on Thursday organised a training-cum-awareness programme on “Sexual Harassment at Workplace” at Kharavel Bhavan for its senior officials and staff.
The session was led by Prof. P. Yasodhara, a member of the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), who provided insights into workplace safety, legal frameworks, and mechanisms for redressal. The interactive programme also featured a Q&A session, where employees discussed key concerns and scenarios related to workplace conduct and harassment.
The initiative is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote awareness, uphold dignity, and reinforce its commitment to creating a respectful and equitable work environment for all employees.
Officials highlighted the importance of such sensitisation programmes in ensuring that the workforce remains informed, empowered, and protected under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) guidelines.
