Enforcement Directorate Attaches D-Brothers’ Properties Worth Rs 8.2 crores
**Cuttack:** After attaching properties worth Rs 11.40 crore of self-proclaimed godman Santosh Raul alias Sarathi Baba, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday attached properties worth Rs 8.20 crore of infamous gangster siblings Susil and Susant Dhalsamant under Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
According to sources, the attached properties include their CDA house, bank deposits of around Rs 3.5 crore and the property, seized during the police investigation worth around Rs 3.6 crore.
The Directorate had intensified its probe into the financial transactions of the criminal duo and questioned their associates recently. In February, the ED has grilled five aides of D-brothers in connection with the monetary transactions.
Notably, the Commissionerate Police had arrested Sushant and Sushil on January 29, 2016, in connection with the kidnap and murder of Dipu Mallick.
Along with this case, many as 21 cases have been registered against the Dhalasamanta brothers at various police stations.
While Sushant Dhalasamanta is lodged in Jharpada Special Jail, Bhubaneswar, Sushil Dhalasamanta has been jailed in Balasore District Jail.
