Bhubaneswar: The State Urban Development Authority (SUDA) is on a mission to make cities and towns of the State homeless free.
In this context, Project Director of SUDA, Sarada Prasad Panda has written a letter to all Municipal Commissioner and Executive Officers of Municipalities and NACs start the campaign: ‘No one will sleep under the open sky & Let us make our city homeless free’.
Speacial drives needs to be undertaken to create awareness with night mobilization in the Urban Local Bodies. “If needed, site-specific action for mobilisation of homeless persons and arrangement of temporary shelters may also be taken at desired locations to avoid any mishap during winters,” the letter stated.
The officials have been asked to take sincere initiative on winter action plan for regular campaign in this regard. “The shleters should have bedding, heating facility, sanitisers, hand wash solution, drinking water, toilets, etc,” the letter further stated.
