Balasore: An ex-Army personnel was detained by Berhampur police here on Tuesday on charges of molesting a minor girl. According to the minor’s mother, the man, aged about 62 years molested her daughter on Monday.
The minor girl had gone to the suspect’s home for collecting some fruits. The elderly man took her to the backyard and molested her, the complaint stated. A gram sabha was called to take a decision on the matter. However, the woman reported the matter to police following which the man was detained.
