Bhubaneswar: Naveen Patnaik’s nephew Arun Patnaik, who hogged the headlines following his unexpected visit to Naveen Niwas soon after election results were declared, tied the nuptial knot in the Netherlands.
Arun’s sister Gayatri Patnaik shared a beautiful video of the wedding on her social media. The couple got married in the presence of close family and friends, sources said.
Prem’s daughter from his first wife, Gayatri Patnaik, took to her Instagram handle to share Arun’s wedding pictures. She wrote, “There is no joy like a sibling getting married.” She also shared a video of the newly-wed couple walking amid showers of petals and wrote: “Arun and Nadia”.
The Delhi-based entrepreneur Arun is the grandson of former Chief Minister of Odisha Biju Patnaik. He is the son of Naveen’s elder brother and businessman Prem Patnaik and his second wife.
Following his visit to Naveen Niwas soon after the declaration of election results, speculations were rife that Arun would make his political debut. Besides, many are of the opinion that it was just a courtesy visit by Arun to console his uncle Naveen who faced his first poll defeat ever and Arun will return to Delhi after a short stay in the state capital.
