Ex-Congress MP Pradeep Majhi On Fast-Unto-Death Before Raj Bhawan

**Bhubaneswar: ** Congress leader and former Nabarangpur MP Pradip Majhi have started his ‘Judhyam Dehi’ movement from December 21 by sitting on a dharna and fast-unto-death in front of Raj Bhavan demanding fulfillment of his demands.

The three demands made by Pradip Majhi are- filling up of vacant doctor posts in Malkangiri district, accused to be punished in Gumudumuha fake Maoist encounter and Rs 12 lakh compensation for the family members of the deceased.

Majhi along with Congress MLA Krushna Chandra Sagaria have staged a protest with around 25 tribals alongwith members of SC/ST cell from Malkangiri in front of Raj Bhawan in the capital city for the fulfillment of their demands.

Notably, the killer disease Japanese Encephalitis has claimed lives of over a hundred children in the district. The tribals there had lost faith in the government health institutions and resorted to age old traditional methods to cure their children. This had highlighted the crumbling health care situation of the State compelling the Health Minister and Secretary to rush and take stock of the situation.
