Cuttack: One of the three persons killed in the car accident today morning near Telengapentha on National Highway (NH) 16 in Cuttack was identified as former Sambalpur MP Amar Pradhan’s son Ankur Pradhan.
Reportedly, Ankur along with his two friends, Goutam and Praneet, were on their way from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar in a Jaguar car when the vehicle lost control and fell into a roadside canal at around 2.15 AM today.
After locals intimated the police of a submerged car in the canal, they rushed to the scene and rescued the three from the vehicle with help of fire personnel. The three were hurried to SCB Medical College and Hospital where the doctor declared them brought dead.
A check of the registration number of the car revealed that it is registered at Rourkela RTO in the name of one Kishor Kumar Swain. Meanwhile, the police have seized the car and launched a probe.
It is worthwhile to mention that Ankur’s mother Mausami Pradhan had also died a few years back in a road accident. She was on her way from Athmallik to Angul when the mishap occurred near Jarapada.
