Excise Officials Seize Over Rs 1 Crore Worth Ganja From Forest In Boudh

Boudh: Excise Department officials during a raid seized 10.75 quintals of ganja estimated to be worth over Rs 1.07 crore from Aakun and Sanbabda forests under Baghiapada police outpost limits in Boudh district on Wednesday.

The officials have also seized two bikes during the raid.

According to reports, acting on a tip-off about the stockpiling of the contraband meant for trafficking in the Aakun and Sababda forested area, Excise officials of Boudh conducted a surprise raid which led to the seizure. While 5.15 quintals of ganja was seized from the forested area near Aakun village, 5.60 quintals of ganja was seized from Sanbabda forested area.

The estimated value of the seized ganja is said to be about Rs 1.07 crore.
