Cuttack: The Odisha Excise Department conducted a raid under the supervision of DSP (Excise) at Karunga village and nearby forest under Athagarh police station in Cuttack district and seized 3,815 litres of 6,930 country liquor on Sunday. However, three accused managed to escape during the raid.
A case has been registered against the absconding accused and an investigation into the matter is underway, said the Excise Department in an official release today.
