Bhubaneswar: The Central Intelligence Unit of Excise (EI & EB, Unit-II, Cuttack) has busted an excise case, arresting a 46-year-old man, Chagala Patra, from village Balisahi under Jagatpur police limits in Cuttack. The accused was found in possession of 640 liters of ID liquor and a four-wheeler vehicle.
The raid was conducted by a team led by Abani Kumar Mohapatra (Inspector of Excise), along with Soumya Ranjan Majhi (SI of Excise), Kishore Chandra Rout (ASI), Rajesh Kumar Kishan (Constable), Deepak Kumar Sahoo (E/C), and Manas Ranjan Behera (E/C). The seizure was made at Gandhi Chhak under Choudwar PS, with the estimated value of the seized items being approximately 6 lakhs.
The accused has been forwarded to judicial custody.
