Bhubaneswar: In another step towards ensuring qualitative universal health care in remote and underserved areas, Odisha Government sent an expert team of doctors from SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack under Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva Scheme ( MBSSS) to Nuapada district today.
According to an official press release, the team reached the district with necessary equipment and medicines. The team would camp at district headquarter hospital up to 24 July and would provide super specialist clinical services including consultations and therapeutic interventions to all the enlisted patients.
The team comprises of Dr Bhawani Shankar Dhal from Endocrinology, Dr Biswajit Mohanty from Nephrology, Dr Lincoln Patel from Urology, Dr Sananda Kumar Sethi from Gastroenterology, Dr Sonalika Behera from Neurology, and Dr Pankaj Kumar Maravi from the department of Cardiology.
Available data show, around 632 patients from various parts of Nuapada districts were screened and enlisted for service under the scheme. This team would undertake case to case analysis of all individual patients, and would prepare them for necessary treatment and interventions by senior expert team who would visit the district tomorrow.
