Bhubaneswar: The state government has terminated the services of four government school teachers in the Puri district of Odisha for submitting fake educational certificates to get jobs. All four teachers were serving in different schools in the Krushnaprasad block of the Puri district.
The sacked teachers have been identified as Satyasundar Biswal of Jharisahi School, Suresh Chandra Palai of Biripadar School, Soudamini Pradhan of Ora School and Nanda Kishore Sethy of Charchika School.
According to reports, while three teachers submitted fake BEd certificates, the graduation certificate of another teacher was found to be fake.
The Puri District Education Officer (DEO) initiated an investigation into after receiving complaints against these teachers and their certificates were checked. During the process, it was found that these teachers had submitted fake certificates.
The matter has now been referred to the state Crime Branch for further action.
