Bhubaneswar: As the five days remand period of fake doctor Ramesh Swain ends today, Commissionerate Police is to produce him before the Court and seek permission to conduct a polygraph test, said Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash on Tuesday.
Dash informed that so far 15 cases have been registered against Swain and police have conducted much evidence including some photos and videos on social media. Similar photos and videos were also recovered from his mobile phone.
During the confrontation, Swain confessed that he used the photos and videos to emotionally blackmail his victims, the women whom he married. Many of the videos are staged, where Swain is seen being administered with saline or crying to gain sympathy.
Dash said that Swain is hiding many facts from the police. The probe of his financial transactions is underway. A team may leave outside the State soon for further probe.
