Rourkela: Plantsite police in Rourkela today busted a fake lube manufacturing unit and seized over 1,200 litres of spurious lubricant.
The police have arrested one Taslim Arif of Raza Street in Nala Road area under Plantsite police limits in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a surprise raid at Arif’s house and seized 1230 litres of spurious engine oil (lube) packed under various popular brand names.
The police have also seized 430 litres of used lubricants, 625 containers, 2200 fake cap seals, ample quantities of labels and stickers of branded lube products, materials and equipment used for manufacturing of spurious lube products.
Police have registered a case against Arif under relevant sections of IPC and Trade Marks/Copyright Act and forwarded him to court.
