Mayurbhanj: Medical negligence on part of doctors at Udala Community Health Centre is alleged to have claimed the life of a five-month-old baby girl.
The incident took place at Udala block in Mayurbhanj district.
Meanwhile, the baby girl’s parents staged a dharna in front of the hospital blaming the hospital authorities responsible for their daughter’s death.
According to sources, Madhusudan Rout’s five-month-old daughter fell ill after receiving vaccination at an anganwadi centre at Debabahal village under Kaptipada block. She was rushed to Udala Community Health Centre last night when her health condition worsened.
The infant’s family claimed that doctors delayed to attend the baby girl which led to her death. Alleging negligence on the part of doctors, the parents of the baby girl staged a protest outside the hospital.
Upon being informed, Udala police reached the hospital and pacified the parents.
