Bhubaneswar: A family comprising five members was swept away in the sea ata Puri beach today morning. Aided by the prompt response of lifeguards of Odisha Fire Service (OFS), all five of them were rescued from the deep waters, safely.
The family members were identified as Rekha (34), Devi Mahali (54), Sumitra Mahali (52), Sudip (19) and Prshan (25) of Hadua North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.
According to the rescue personnel, the incident took place at around 11:35 am when the family members were taking bath in the sea in 9 and 10 Sectors of the Puri sea beach. All of them are healthy, the OFS personnel said.
