Cuttack: The privilege a home team enjoys, apart from favourable conditions, is the huge support they get from the crowd. The players not only cherish the support but have over the years treasured the huge fan base.
While the Indian team is out practising ahead of the 3rd ODI in Barabati stadium, the fans have also started to arrive at the silver city to lend the much-needed support to the team.
Supporting his icon, with around 16 tattoos on his body, Pintu Raj Behera of Ganjam is out here to support captain Virat Kohli and the team. He said, “I am extremely happy at being able to see my icon Virat Kohli Sir up close once again. I have also got a bat with me and hope to get his autograph and a selfie with him.”
Notably, Pintu had his fan moment when he was able to meet Kohli after the press conference ahead of India-South Africa test match in Visakhapatnam in October this year.

Joining Pintu and scores of other fans is the iconic face of Indian cricket fan- Sudhir Chaudhary. The man who loyally follows Team India, both domestic and overseas, had his signature huge tricolour, conch shell and Indian map-shaped and tricolour coloured hairdo.
Happy to be in Barabati stadium he said, “I want the match to be a memorable one and the team to pose a great score like that of Vizag. I am hoping for a 400-plus target. I am nostalgic on being back at Barabati after a gap of about 2 years. Very happy to be here and hope that India wins the series.”
A hardcore Sachin Tendulkar fan, Sudhir has been voraciously cheering team India since 2003, often cycling to across country to watch a match. After Sachin’s intervention, BCCI has been sponsoring his travels since 2010. After the retirement of Sachin, Sudhir keeps cheering for the Indian cricket team sporting “Miss-U Tendulkar” on his body.
