Farmer Trampled To Death By Wild Elephant In Bargarh

Bargarh: A farmer was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Andharapalli village under Atabira block in Bargarh district on Monday morning.

The deceased farmer, identified as Benu Chhuria, was trampled to death by a lone wild elephant while working in his field on Monday morning.

Upon being informed, forest officials have reached the scene, and efforts are underway to drive the elephant back into the forest.

The deceased farmer’s family members and villagers demanded compensation from the Forest Department authorities to prevent such incidents in the future.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with villagers expressing fear and anxiety over the elephant’s presence in the area.
