Farmers’ Welfare No 1 In Our BJD Manifesto, I’ll Serve You Till My Last Breath: Odisha CM

**Nabarangpur: ** Addressing the election campaign today at various places of Nabarangpur Lok Sabha constituency, BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reiterated that his party manifesto’s top agenda is development of farm and welfare of the farmers. He also promised to serve his family of 4 crore Odia people till his lat breath.

He also assured that not a single eligible farmer will be deprived of reaping the benefits under KALIA Yojana. “40 lakh farmers have already benefited and 25 lakh more will get benefits soon.”

As announced yesterday at Jeypore Stadium in tribal-dominated Koraput district, the Odisha Chief Minister committed, “Not a single farmer will be deprived of it, neither today, and never.”

Yesterday at Jeypore meeting in adjoining Koraput district, he has already announced that on the very first day of his new government formed, all the KALIA beneficiary farmers will be given away the assistance of Rs 10,000 for the pending two installments at one go.

Taking a potshot at the BJP as well as its tall leaders at the Centre (especially targeting PM Modi and Amit Shah), the regional satrap once again burst, “There had been flood and cyclone, they (BJP central leaders) didn’t come to Odisha. But now during election, tall leaders of BJP have come for votes.”

Naveen also hit out at the Centre on the nagging issues of Mahanadi, Polavaram, KBK Yojana, scholarship of poor ST/SC students, etc.

“This is the sympathy of these leaders for Odisha,” lampooned the Odisha Chief Minister.

Further taking a dig at them, he fumed, “The bigwigs of BJP are now shedding crocodile tears.” He also asked the Centre, “Where are 10 crore jobs? Where is the doubled MSP? Where is the new rail line for Nabarangpur.”

Canvassing for votes, the BJD supremo also reiterated, “4.5 crore people of Odisha are my family members. I’m always with you and remain so. Bless me so that I can serve you till my last breath. Cast your vote in favour of conch symbol. Cast it twice, one for the MLA candidate and another for the MP candidate.”

Naveen Patnaik today campaigned here for his party candidates for Nabarangpur Lok Sabha and all the Assembly seats under it. He visited Raighar, Jharigaon and Maidalpur all under the Nabarangpur parliamentary constituency. It is notable to mention here that Nabarangpur is going to polls in the first phase (April 11).
