Keonjhar: In a tragic road accident on Friday, three people lost their lives and two others sustained critical injuries after a motorcycle and a scooter collided head-on near Sarupata village under Ghatagaon police station limits in Keonjhar district.
The deceased have been identified as Dushasan Barik of Asanabahali village and Mana Dalei and Hiranya Senapati of Balabhadrapur village. All three reportedly died on the spot due to the impact of the crash.
The two critically injured victims were immediately rushed to the Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
Police have seized both vehicles involved in the collision and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
