Puri: A man and his son were critically injured when a person threw acid at them over a long-standing land dispute at Uasapadar village under Krushna Prasad block of Odisha’s Puri district, on Monday.
According to reports, the acid attack is a fall-out of a long-pending land dispute between two families in the Usapadar village. The dispute took an ugly turn on Monday when the accused Santosh Maharana threw acid at Adhikari Tarei and his son Rajendra Tarei while the two were working on their farmland.
The victims sustained critical injuries in the acid attack and were rushed to the Krushna Prasad Community Health Centre (CHH). Later, they were shifted to AIIMS in Bhubaneswar as their condition deteriorated.
