Bhubaneswar: A female Sub-Inspector was chased with a sword by some miscreants. A complaint in this regard has been lodged at Saheed Nagar Police Station.
As per the complaint lodged by Sub-Inspector Subhashree Nayak of Mahila Police Station, she was returning from duty on Monday night when she was chased by some miscreants near the reserve barrack in Bhubaneswar.
Based on the complaint, police have launched an investigation into the matter. CCTV footage of the area will be scrutinized to identify the accused and nab him. DCP Prateek Singh said that on the basis of a complaint lodged by the Sub Inspector, a case has been registered by Saheed Nagar Police.
There was an argument between Subhashree and driver of the SUV on overtaking, which led to the unsavoury act by the latter. “As per the description of the vehicle she has narrated, the SUV is being traced. Besides, there are a few suspects who will be rounded up soon,” Singh added.
