Dhenkanal/Berhampur: The controversy and clash over posters of the PM and CM has continued for the second day in a row at vaccination centres in a couple of places of the State.
While BJP workers raised a protest on posters of the Chief Minister at vaccination centres, BJD workers said the opposition is giving a political colour to the matter.
In Dhenkanal, the BJP workers submitted a memorandum to the Collector demanding that posters of the PM be pasted along with that of the CM.
“The Centre is providing the vaccines. Therefore, the poster of the Prime Minister is customary. If our demands are not met, the agitation will intensify,” the BJP workers said.
Similar scenes emerged from vaccination centres in Gajam where BJP workers forcibly removed the posters of the Chief Minister. The senior leadership of both parties has however refrained from commenting on the issue.
On Monday, senior BJD leader Debi Prasad Mishra had said that the vaccine belongs to the people and the opposition should not resort to petty politics over posters.
