Bhubaneswar: The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is to kick off with two opening matches at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. Morocco and Brazil and India and USA are meeting for the first time at the competition.
Morocco and Brazil face-off is at 4.30 pm while India is to face USA at 8 pm.
This is a third consecutive appearance for reigning continental champions Brazil, who have never gone further than the quarter-finals, while Moroccans are making their competition debut.
USA have world titles to their name at both senior and U-20 level but are still waiting for their first in this age category. As for India, this is their first ever appearance at a FIFA women’s competition.
