Bhubaneswar: In a stern action against dangerous driving and social media stunts, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Cuttack has imposed a fine of Rs 16,000 on a couple for performing hazardous motorcycle stunts while recording videos for social media platforms.

The incident came to light after a video went viral showing a man riding a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle with his wife precariously seated in front. The couple, reportedly from Athagarh in Cuttack district, was filming content for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Responding swiftly to the video clip, a concerned citizen tagged the Odisha Transport Department, the state Director General of Police, the Cuttack District Collector and Principal Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department Usha Padhee on social media, sharing the footage and vehicle registration number while demanding action.
