Balangir: The body of a private finance company employee, who has been missing since Friday last, was found hanging near a field at Dangabahali under Kantabanji police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Sabliyat Haripal, was an employee of a private finance company – Smriti and Spandan Finance Company – at the Kantabanji branch in the Balangir district. Sabliyat hailed from Paikamal in the Bargarh district.
Soon after Sabliyat went missing, the manager of the finance company lodged a report with the local police station.
Locals in Dangabahali spotted his body on Sunday morning and informed the police. He was found hanging from a tree in a black scarf and a bag was found on the ground near the tree. Sabliyat’s two-wheeler was also found at some distance from the tree.
The police have recovered the body and launched an investigation into the case. The reason behind Sabilyat’s death is yet to be ascertained.
