Bhubaneswar: A massive fire broke out at a jute godown near Idco chhak near Basta in Balasore district on Thursday evening.
According to reports, jute worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes in the fire mishap.
The inferno was seen devouring the piles of jute in the warehouse. After receiving information, fire tenders unit from Baliapal and Basta rushed to the pot and launched an operation to douse the flame.
The exact reason of the fire remains unclear. Electric short-circuit is said to be the cause of the accident.
There are no casualties in the fire accident.
