Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to reflect the implementation of 5T charter and “Mo Sarkar” initiative in the Fire Services department. The induction will be active from January 1, 2020, and by April 2020 the service is expected to go fully online.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved of the 5T action plan which aims at achieving progress through transparency, teamwork, technology, time and transformation, said an official communiqué released by the Chief Minister’s Office.
The circular said that the centralizing reforms will ensure that applicant need not come to the Directorate of Fire Services from far off areas to obtain the fire safety recommendations and fire safety certificate. As per the new reforms, the field level officials can issue such certificates after following the prescribed procedures. Also, the certificate can be applied online and will be issued within 18 days of receipt of an application.
This move is expected to bring a radical improvement in the process of obtaining fire safety certificates, said the communiqué.
Under the 5T program, random citizens can give their feedback on service delivery. The very famous people-friendly program is expected to increase the ‘ease of doing business’.
