Bhubaneswar: The first cut-off list for admissions to Plus 3 courses has been released, with Ravenshaw University emerging as the top institution in all three categories of Science, Commerce, and Arts. The university has the highest cut-off marks across the state.
In the Arts department, the highest cut-off is 92.80% in Political Science. The Science department has a cut-off of 94% in Zoology Honors, 93.67% in Physics, while Commerce has a cut-off of 90.50%. BJB College has a cut-off mark of 88.83% in Computer Science, and the University of Law College, under Utkal University, has a cut-off mark of 87.80%. Meanwhile, Maa Saraswati Sanskrit College, Rajgangpur, has a cut-off of 68.67% in Sanskrit.
A total of 2,74,509 seats were available for undergraduate courses, with 2,65,590 students applying. In the first phase, 1,75,722 students have been selected, comprising 70,745 boys and 1,04,967 girls, while 10 students from the third gender category have also been selected.
The selected students can now enroll in their preferred colleges. The breakdown of selected students shows 45,855 in Science, 1,769 in Arts, 16,205 in Commerce, 3,371 in Sanskrit, 3,051 in self-financing courses, and 171 in Law.
