**Bhubaneswar:** Touted to be the first-ever cycling championship in Odisha, Bhubaneswar Cycling and Adventure Club conducted the Golden Triangle Road Race on Sunday. The cycling race was flagged off from Dhauli at 6 am. More than 50 cyclists including cyclists from Kolkata and Bengaluru participated in the race. The route covered 151 km from Dhauli to Chandrabhaga and back via Malatipatapur.
Parshuram Choudhury of Rourkela won the first prize with timing of 4:47:23 and received cash award of Rs 20000. Aditya Singh with timing of 4:47:32 was the runners up and he received cash award of Rs 10000. Adarsh Sahoo won the third prize of Rs 5000 with timing of 4:50:52.
Lalit Das IPS, CMD Odisha police housing and welfare corporation and Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, ADG law and order distributed the prizes.
BCAC has earlier conducted mega cycling events like Vietnam to Cambodia, Bhubaneswar to Bhutan, Cuttack to Kathmandu, Manali to Khardung La Pass in the Himalayas. BCAC is committed to promote both running and cycling culture in the State.
