Bhubaneswar: The first Oxygen Express from Rourkela with 52.5 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen is to depart for Haryana on Friday. It is being shipped by the Rourkela Steel Plant, which has played a key role in addressing the liquid medical oxygen crisis in the country.
The RSP has already supplied more than 2,500 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen to various states, including Odisha, while its associate unit Linde India has been providing liquid medical oxygen to Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh.
Today, a total of 52.5 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen from Linde India has been brought to Rourkela railway station amid tight police security. The Oxygen Express will reach Faridabad in Haryana without any stoppages.
