Five Including 4 Minors Killed In Lightning Strikes Across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Five persons including four minors were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Odisha on Thursday.

The tragic incidents took place in the districts of Nabarangpur, Bolangir, Boudh, Ganjam and Sundargarh.

According to reports, while a minor boy was killed in a lightning strike at Chandahandi under Jharigaon block in Nabarangpur district, a minor girl was killed in a lightning strike at Belapada Sarmuhan village in Bolangir district.

Similarly, one person was killed in a lightning strike at Dunguri village under Polasara Balisahi police outpost limits in Ganjam district.

Besides, a minor boy identified as Sagar Kachhap (15) was killed in a lightning strike at Kabirajdhipa Basti under Birmitrapur police limits in Sundargarh district.

Further, a 13-year-old boy identified as Rahul Kumbhar of Talapada village under Baunsuni police limits of Boudh district was also killed in a lightning strike.
