Five More Succumb To COVID-19 In Odisha, Toll Mounts To 159

Bhubaneswar:   Five more patients of COVID-19 in Odisha have succumbed to the disease, while one has died due to other reasons, as published on the COVID Dashboard of the State Government on Wednesday.

Reportedly, one each has died in the districts of Balasore, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Malkangiri and Puri, while the non-COVID death has been reported from Bhadrak.

The patients who have succumbed to COVID-19 are,

1. A 46-year old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.

2. A 55-year old female of Puri district.

3. A 60-year old female of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.

4. A 50-year old male of Phulbani district who was also suffering from Alcoholic Liver disease, Jaundice and Hepatic encephalopathy.

5. A 62-year old female of Malkangiri district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

The deceased from Bhadrak is a two-year-old Covid positive female child who expired due to Congenital Heart Disease with Cardiac failure.
