Puri: The Indian Navy will conduct a mock drill in Puri sea ahead of the Navy Day celebration on December 4. The day will be celebrated with a grand display of naval warfare and power.
Five warships, including INS Jalashwa, INS Kiltan, and INS Sumedha, have anchored off the Puri coast from Digabarini to Light House on the coast.
Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, along with other senior officers, visited Puri today to evaluate the beach conditions and discuss with the district administration. The Navy plans to conduct a drill operation on Puri Beach, showcasing air shows, commando operations, and other adventurous military manoeuvres.
The public got a glimpse of the warships patrolling off the coast of Puri, and tourists praised the Navy’s actions. Admiral Tripathy also visited Shree Mandir with his family and offered prayers.
This year’s Navy Day celebrations promise to be an impressive display of the Indian Navy’s prowess. The celebration will be graced by President Droupadi Murmu. The Navy has observed December 4 as Navy Day since 1944.
