Five Odisha Districts Under Yellow Alert: Thunderstorms Likely In Next Three Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for five districts in Odisha, warning of light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds, lightning, and light to moderate rain.

The districts under yellow alert are Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, and Nuapada.

According to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 1:45 PM, gusty surface winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph are likely to affect these areas within the next three hours.

Residents are advised to be cautious and keep a close watch on the weather, as conditions may worsen. In case of lightning strikes, people are advised to seek shelter in safe locations.
