Five Odisha Labourers Suffer Burns In Bengaluru Fire Mishap

Ganjam: Five labourers from Ganjam’s Berhampur sustained burn injuries as a fire broke out from a stove while cooking in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The victims, identified as Santosh Behera, Pabitra Sethi, Runa Sahu, Bipin Sethy and Sarathi Sethi, were working in a spare parts company in Bengaluru.

As per reports, the fire broke out when one of the labourers accidentally ignited a gas cylinder while cooking. The room quickly filled with flames, and the labourers suffered severe burns.

Local residents rushed to their rescue and provided medical assistance. The injured labourers were later shifted to a medical college for treatment.

Family members of the victims are in a state of shock and are making arrangements to visit Bengaluru. The administration is also taking steps to ensure the labourers’ safe return home.
