Flesh trade rackets appear to be immune to the raging coronavirus pandemic if today’s raids conducted by the Commissionerate Police are any pointer to the thriving illicit trade that appears to flourish in the Millennium City.
According to reports, acting on tip-offs police today raided a hotel in College Square area and a house at Shankarpur Das Sahi in Badambadi area leading to the rescue of six commercial sex workers and the arrest of one person.
While four women sex workers were rescued from the house at Shankarpur Das Sahi, two were also rescued from the hotel at College Square, reports said.
Two women sex workers with a man were found in a compromising position in a room of the hotel, reports added.
While the man has been nabbed, the hotel’s manager and kingpin of the sex racket have been detained, reports further said.
