Cuttack: Preparations are in full swing at the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSEO) head office here for smooth conduct of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination scheduled to begin from February 19.
Sources in the BSEO said that as many as 5, 60,905 candidates will be appearing in the examination this year.
Carrying of mobile phones into examination centres has been strictly prohibited, the sources added.
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras have been installed in 1,000 sensitive examination centres for surveillance to check malpractice, the sources revealed.
This year BSEO is hiring college lecturers for using them in special squads.
“We are hiring lecturers for our squads. We are holding an orientation workshop for them today. A total of 118 lecturers are taking part in the workshop,” informed BSEO Secretary Srikant Tarai.
