Keonjhar: Forest personnel seized three deer hides and arrested one person in this connection from Kadbahali villager in the Ghatgaon forest area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Friday.
The arrested, identified as Yadumani Naik, is said to be an enthusiastic hunter who killed deer and stored their hides for sale.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Forest Department, led by ACF Ghanshyam Mahanth, raided the village and seized the deer skins. They also arrested the Yadumani for possessing the deer hides. The arrested accused will be produced in court today.
