Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths launched a massive anti-corruption operation on Thursday, carrying out simultaneous raids at eight properties in Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar, amid allegations of disproportionate asset irregularities involving Bibhudananda Mishra, Forest Range Officer of Dhenkanal Range.
A team of 20 officials, including seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), one Assistant Commandant, six Inspectors, and six Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), is conducting the searches. The raids are being carried out on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge of Vigilance, Cuttack.
Vigilance officials are conducting simultaneous searches at eight locations, including three residential buildings, a farmhouse, a flat, a paternal house, a relative’s house, an office chamber, and a government quarter, all linked to Mishra in connection with the disproportionate assets case. Here are the details of properties being raided by the Vigilance team:
- A triple-storeyed building over plot No. 316/6034 located at Ratna Bazar, Dhenkanal.
- A double-storeyed building over plot no 316/6540/10638 located at Ratna Bazar, Dhenkanal.
- E C Broiler farm (Mishra Farmhouse) located at Rahangol, Athagarh, Dist-Cuttack.
- Flat No. 201 at Brinda Basera, GGP Colony, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.
- Paternal house of Mishra at Birakishorepur, Athagarh in Cuttack.
- A house of his relative located at Dhenkanal
- Office chamber of Mishra located at Dhenkanal.
- Residential Govt Quarter of Sri Mishra located at Dhenkanal.
The searches are aimed at uncovering evidence of Mishra’s alleged possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
