Boudh/Sonepur: Around 50 personnel of the forest department had a narrow escape when around seven landmines went off at Lakadpaju forest in Boudh district on Sunday.
Reportedly, the forest department has started efforts to destroy the growing ganja cultivation in the district. Every day, illegal marijuana crops in hundreds of acres of forest land are being destroyed.
A 50-member team of the forest department had gone to destroy the illegal ganja cultivation in the forest yesterday. While crossing the road, seven landmines exploded one by one. However, no one was injured in the exposion.
Following it, some wires were seized from the scene. Meanwhile, a big question has been raised about who is responsible for the explosion, ganja mafia or Maoists.
