Bhubaneswar: Hemendra Prasad Mahapatra, a veteran leader and former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Bonai constituency, passed away at the age of 92. He breathed his last at his residence at Khuntagaon village under Lahunipara block in Sundargarh.
Mohapatra was a stalwart leader who represented his constituency with utmost sincerity and dedication.
Elected to the assembly three times, he served as an MLA in 1961, 1967, and 1971. His commitment to the welfare of his people and his contributions to the development of his constituency earned him a special place in the hearts of his constituents.
