Bhubaneswar: Former Khallikote MLA Purna Chandra Sethy has resigned from the primary membership of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
Sethy has sent his resignation letter to BJD president Naveen Patnaik. He has alleged being sidelined in the party and has cited it as the reason for his resignation.
Sethy had represented Khallikote Assembly Constituency as an MLA from 2009 to 2019. However, BJD denied him a ticket in the 2019 elections.
