**Bhubaneswar: ** Former Ministers of the Odisha Cabinet who tendered their resignations from their respective posts, paving the way for a high profile cabinet reshuffle, were absent here in the swearin- in ceremony of the new ministers on Sunday.
Fromer ministers Sanjay Dasburma, Pranab Prakash Das, Arun Sahoo, Pradeep Panigrahi, Pushpendra Singhdeo, Lal Bihari Himirika, Sudam Marndi, Jogendra Behera and Debi Prasad Mishra, who have recently resigned from the cabinet, didn’t attend the swearing in ceremony raising doubts over their claim of quiting posts “voluntarily”.
Is there any annoyance among these leaders on this reshuffle? If party spokesperson and recently sworn in minister Suryanarayan Patra’s statement is to believed, there is no issue in the party.
Speaking to OMMCOM NEWS he said, “Those who have resigned from their posts, have taken this step voluntarily. They are dedicated workers of the party and they can sacrify their lives for the party if required.”
Similarly, newly inducted minister Sushant Singh also denied any dissatisfaction over the cabinet reshuffle.
However, OMMCOM NEWS tried to contact these leaders but they remained incommunicado.
Notably, ten ministers including six new faces from the Biju Janta Dal (BJD) party were inducted into the cabinet of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha government on Sunday.
Governor S.C. Jamir administered the oath to the new ministers in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and others leaders of the BJD at the Raj Bhavan here.
